The following are legal issues related to the format licensing and use of elements owned by the College Bowl Company.
  1. All pages at the www.collegebowl.com web site are copyrighted by the College Bowl Company.
  2. The College Bowl game format, as used in College Bowl, High School Bowl and Honda Campus All-Star Challenge is the proprietary format of the College Bowl Company and is protected by an international copyright.
  3. College Bowl, High School Bowl and Campus All-Star Challenge and the varsity sport of the mind are the registered Service Marks of the College Bowl Company.
  4. The purchase of College Bowl game packets grants the school a license to use the College Bowl name, format and materials for their program for that season. This applies to downloading and using material from this web site.
  5. The purchase of High School Bowl game packets/license grants equivalent rights to those clients. Schools registering for Honda Campus All-Star Challenge are automatically conferred equivalent rights.
  6. Schools not purchasing College Bowl game packets or registering for Honda Campus All-Star Challenge may download and utilize materials from this web site for evaluation only. They may not be used in conjunction with any game, tournament or other event without purchasing game packets, registering for Campus All-Star Challenge or obtaining a license from the College Bowl Company.
  7. All questions and answers supplied are the copyrighted property of the College Bowl Company. Questions for the Campus Program as well as for High School Bowl and Honda Campus All-Star Challenge may be duplicated for one-time use in conjunction with a client's tournament. No copies may be given or distributed to any team members, other school or entity. Questions may be kept by participating schools for practice purposes only for five years, after which time they must be destroyed.
  8. No College Bowl, High School Bowl or Honda Campus All-Star Challenge matches may be filmed, videotaped, audio taped, or otherwise preserved for public use without the expressed written consent of the College Bowl Company. The purchase of College Bowl games packets grants a limited right to preserve campus matches for non-commercial (closed circuit) and private use only. Schools registering for Honda Campus All-Star Challenge are automatically conferred equivalent rights. High School broadcast rights are by license only.
  9. All broadcasts of College Bowl, Honda Campus All-Star Challenge and High School Bowl must be licensed from the College Bowl Company, except as provided in item 8 above.
  10. All College Bowl Intercollegiate Tournaments must be registered with the College Bowl Company. Signing a license agreement and paying a $1 per team license fee is required.
  11. College Bowl schools must comply with the Rules Governing participation in College Bowl. Honda Campus All-Star Challenge schools must comply with the Rules Governing participation in Honda Campus All-Star Challenge.
